Overview
Urea delivers 100% water-soluble nitrogen to all parts of the plant, including root systems and vegetative mass. Its versatility also extends to its application methods, where it’s reliable as a main application or a topdress, independently or in tank mixtures with other elements or products. This product is available in both granular and prilled forms, which makes it ideal for bulk mixing with other fertilizers, and its overall granule strength mitigates dusting and product loss during processing. And since soil pH increases during the hydrolysis reaction, Urea is effective on acidic soils, rice fields, nitrogen-fertilizing cereals, technical crops, and horticulture.
Best For
Rice
Row Crops
Warm Season Grasses
Any plant requiring high nitrogen
Application Instructions
On alkaline and close-to-neutral soils, Urea should be incorporated in the soil no later than 2 to 6 hours after application at a depth of 4 to 6 inches. This will help reduce nitrogen losses in the form of ammonia as a result of hydrolysis and activity of urease soil enzymes.
Consider reducing nitrogen volatilization by adding aNchor or ANVOL™ to mitigate nitrogen loss.
